Project Goal: This high-end restaurant located in a posh hotel just outside of Boston desired a custom built display for their high quality wines and cigars that was climate controlled and turned to the experts here at Vigilant to deliver. They wanted to be able to store whites, champagne and reds effectively as well as some high quality cigars.

Vigilant Design Solution: Vigilant designed a state-of-the-art custom set of cabinets delivered in multiple banks with the ability to cool and properly humidify both the wine and cigars at the optimal settings. Included with this, Vigilant provided the restaurant with individual custom built cigar lockers to sell storage space to their patrons.

Restaurant - Wine Bar & Wine Cube Display

Project Goal: Vino at the Landing is in a new development on the South end of Lake Washington. The management wanted to provide a friendly atmosphere where people could relax after work to taste or enjoy a glass of wine. The store has a full compliment of wines available for sale.

Vigilant Design Solution: Vigilant came up with a bar design that fit perfectly into the goals for the wine bar. Our design team also saw an opportunity for a contemporary display of wine cubes to be designed into the restaurant to help create the atmosphere of the establishment.

Restaurant - Kit Wine Storage Solution

Project Goal: The project designers were looking to make a dramatic impression with scale on this project. They had already designed and built the spectacular private dining room with the arched brick ceiling and up lighting. A grand opening was only weeks away and the wine display racks needed to be part of that. The product needed to be designed and shipped within two weeks!

Vigilant Design Solution: The dramatic ceiling and long narrow space presented some design issues and with the tight time frame, it was clear that an off the shelf kit solution must be found and modified for this project. The Vigilant Design Team worked with the architect and came up with a raised platform solution that would give the kit racks the desired height for the pre-built soffit and also get the bottles off the ground for easy access. The repeating individual wine display racks matched the scale of the wine room.

Restaurant - Custom Wine Storage Solution

Project Goal: This fine dining fusion steakhouse features a private dining room off the front entrance and is visible from all parts of the main dining area. The project designers were looking for a spectacular but rustic wine cellar design that would house 1,500 bottles. They space also featured elliptical curved walls and stonework.

Vigilant Design Solution: The Vigilant Design Team recognized immediately that curved wine racking was the only appropriate solution for this project. Custom laminations would need to be made from templates of the room walls and a dark rich stain was appropriate for the room. Both individual and bulk wine storage was important for managing the wine collection.

Resort - Custom Refrigerated Wine Cabinets

Project Goal: One of the nicest and most luxurious resort hotels in all of New England, The Wentworth by the Sea turned to Vigilant to create a bank of custom wine cabinets in their main dining area to showcase the collection of fine wine and to separate the dining area from the hostess station.

Vigilant Design Solution: Vigilant designed a single bank of wine cabinets that offer a single zone to maximize storage for red wines. The cabinets were designed to become a focal point within the dining area and have increased wine sales for the hotel by over 35%.

Restaurant - Custom Refrigerated Wine Cabinets

Project Goal: This private club was renovating its dining area and wanted to incorporate wine storage and display for their members. The members would provide their own wine and the club would secure and preserve it for them. They wanted the wine storage to be an integral part of the décor.

Vigilant Design Solution: This project had very firm requirements; the member’s wine must be on display, match the club’s décor and also be secured and preserved. The Vigilant Design Team created individual locking wine lockers that were insulated and refrigerated. They were built of southern yellow pine to match the existing interior and shared a common cooling system.

Restaurant - Custom Wine Cube Display

Project Goal: This project was a great challenge to Vigilant's design team. The restaurant wanted a unique way to store bottles in the restaurant, but not overwhelm its patrons with wine racks. The wine cubes became the best solution to fit in the space and the theme of the establishment.

Vigilant Design Solution: The Vigilant Design Team created a unique look that would work in the chosen space. The cubes fit well and added to the ambiance of the room rather than taking from it. The assembly allowed the restaurant to maximize the storage in the space and blend the display into the wall and lighting already in place.

Restaurant - Custom Wine Cube Storage Solution

Project Goal: This fine dining establishment wanted to build a climate controlled display area in the front of the restaurant to help refocus their customers onto the wine. They also wanted to add to the ambiance of the space with the display.

Vigilant Design Solution: Vigilant helped their design team create a glass enclosed climate controlled area that housed a contemporary display of their finest wines. Wine cubes and Vintage View wine racks became an easy solution to maximize storage, and create a modern flair to the area. The display has created a buzz for the restaurant and has brought patrons back time and time again.

Restaurant - Custom Wine Storage Solution

Project Goal: Fine wine is a large part of the Inn’s identity and the owners emphasize their wine selection knowledge in their marketing efforts. The wine display racks needed to stand up to that expectation level. They had already designated a wine room space with an adjacent private dining room and wanted a smooth transition from one room to the other.

Vigilant Design Solution: It was immediately obvious that the commercial wine cellar design solution should be dramatic and highly visible to the guests. The Design team focused on a cellar-like feel and incorporated a Vigilant dark mahogany entry door and sidelights that opened up into the private dining area. A large bottle cascade runs from the back wall toward the wine cellar entrance.
